The New Nordstrom Logo

I worked with a small team of Nordstrom marketing employees to propose a new Nordstrom logo, which hadn’t been changed since the 1980’s. From there, as a team we ideated Nordstrom branded souvenir products that incorporated the new logo. The souvenir items and new logo were introduced in conjunction with the flagship store opening in Manhattan in the Fall of 2019.

The geometric pattern is made up of the signature N’s. The smiley face is created from letterforms in the logo. The polka dot pattern plays with the O’s in the family name. The wave pattern is a reflection of the iconic glass wall in the NYC flagship store. The stripe pattern pays homage to Nordstrom’s Swedish heritage.
